One of the scariest signs of the impending world war came to light recently. A letter from the French government to regional hospitals to be ready to care for tens of thousands of casualties by March 2026. Sent out in July, hospitals were urged to be ready to care for 10-15,000 wounded soldiers within half a year. The hospitals are those near bus, railways, or airports to facilitate evacuating wounded to their home countries.

The order came after NATO intelligence predicted Russia would be ready to attack Europe within 3-5 years, but while some officials dismissed it as merely an effort to “anticipate crisis”, NATO’s Secretary General Mark Rutte said, “It is time to shift to a wartime mindset,” he said, adding, “How many more wake-up calls do we need?”
The news comes while China is hosting an “Anti-Nato” summit with the presidents of Russia and India to discuss trade terms and to fight Washington’s “hegemonic practices.”

Another recent sign is that Lithuania has been installing anti-tank barriers such as pyramidal concrete “dragons teeth” along its border with Russia. This is to be part of the Baltic Defense Line, fortifications for NATO members, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia. There is no doubt that peace in Ukraine is becoming ever more doubtful as the clouds of war steadily build across the European landscape.
